Rush will play five nights at Sphere in Las Vegas in May 2027, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson announced on 5 November 2026. The residency, called Elevate From the Norm, takes place on 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30 May 2027.

Each show will include full performances of the albums 2112 and Moving Pictures, alongside hits and fan favourites. Drummer Anika Nilles and keyboard player Loren Gold, who have been playing with Lee and Lifeson on tour, will join them, CBC News reported. CBC said the shows will also celebrate the life of Neil Peart, the band's drummer and lyricist, who died in 2020.

How the tickets are sold

The band's residency page sets out a staged sale. Members of RUSH Backstage and subscribers to the band's newsletter had a two-hour window from 10am Pacific time on 6 November 2026 to buy VIP and travel packages, which then went on general sale at 12pm Pacific time the same day. Fans who register through Seated can join an artist presale from 10am Pacific time on 11 November 2026, using a unique code. Rolling Stone and CBC report that general public sales open on 13 November 2026.

From a band that had stopped touring

Lee said that when he first heard of Sphere, he thought it a shame that Rush was no longer touring, because the venue suited the visual style the band has always designed its shows around. He said the band is now working on new ideas for the room.

But life is nothing if not surprising and now, here we are, living and touring in the present tense and we are able to make that particular dream come true.

The residency follows the Fifty Something tour, which opened with four dates in Los Angeles and has taken the reunited band across North and South America, Europe and the UK. Its final date is scheduled for mid-April 2027, CBC reported, so the Las Vegas shows begin a few weeks later.

Sphere opened in 2023 with a U2 residency and has since hosted Metallica, Eagles, Phish, Dead & Company, No Doubt and Backstreet Boys, among others. CBC noted that visits to Las Vegas from Canada, Nevada's largest source of international tourists, have fallen sharply.

What it means for acts

A Sphere residency suits acts with a strong visual show and fans willing to travel, and Rush is selling travel packages before ordinary tickets. Five nights in one room after a long tour turns the end of a touring cycle into an event rather than another stop. The tiered sale, with members first, then a registered presale, then the public, rewards the most committed fans and shows the band what demand looks like before general sale opens.
