Iron Maiden add 16 North American dates for 2027 after planning a year off
The band announced a third and final North American leg of its Run For Your Lives tour on 16 October 2026, from 14 April to 16 May 2027, ending with two festival headline slots.

Iron Maiden have added 16 North American shows in spring 2027 to their Run For Your Lives tour, reversing plans to take the year off from live performance. The band announced the third and final leg on 16 October 2026. It opens at the Tacoma Dome in Washington on 14 April 2027 and ends at the Boardwalk Rock festival in Ocean City, Maryland, on 16 May.
Why the band changed its mind
The run concentrates on parts of the continent that the 2026 leg missed, especially the North West and the South East.
Maiden were planning on taking a break from live performances in 2027, but we’ve been enjoying this last leg in the USA and Canada so much that we all had a chat and decided we should take the show to parts we missed, particularly the North West and South East.
Steve Harris, bassist, Iron Maiden
Manager Rod Smallwood said the band played to more people per show than ever before on the North American leg just finished, and headlined its first stadium shows in the United States. By the time it ends, the tour will have played 107 shows to more than 3 million fans in 36 countries. The band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2026.
Dates, guests and tickets
The leg mixes arenas and amphitheatres, including Rogers Arena in Vancouver on 16 April, the Moda Center in Portland on 18 April, Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas on 28 April, Benchmark International Arena in Tampa on 1 May, Lakewood Amphitheatre in Atlanta on 5 May and UBS Arena at Belmont Park, New York, on 11 May. Iron Maiden headline Sonic Temple in Columbus, Ohio, on 14 May, the first headliner named for the festival's 2027 edition, which runs from 13 to 16 May at Historic Crew Stadium.
Fellow British bands Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age are special guests on the headline dates. Bullet For My Valentine release their album Social Apocalypse on 19 March 2027, and The Raven Age recently supported Maiden in South and Central America. The band's Eddie's Dive Bars return with the tour.
An artist presale opened at 10am local time on 19 October 2026, with more presales through the week and general sale from 10am local time on Friday 23 October 2026. Festival tickets are sold by the festivals: TicketNews lists Sonic Temple's Friday-only passes at $165 for stadium general admission and $265 for the field, both including fees. A VIP package includes a seated ticket, entry to the band's TROOPER pre-show party and exclusive merchandise. TicketNews notes that the announcement does not say whether Maiden's earlier refusal to use dynamic pricing on Run For Your Lives dates applies to the new shows.
What it means for acts
Maiden met proven demand by going back to regions it had skipped rather than replaying its biggest cities. Closing on two festival headline slots puts the band in front of crowds beyond its own following, a point Harris made himself. And with fans and press already asking about dynamic pricing, an act that settles its pricing policy before announcing dates can answer the question in the announcement itself.
